This includes clearly identifying any Web site advertising as such, clearly marking any commercial e-mail as such in the subject line, never sending commercial e-mail or advertising disguised as newsletters to anyone who hasn't specifically requested the traffic, and not selling or otherwise distributing any e-mail address not belonging to the individual or business other than with express permission.
Opt-out policies are not acceptable if they automatically generate mailing lists which people must request removal from.
Ownership or control of all listed Web sites must not be disguised or misrepresented. This does not mean that individuals must be identified, merely that the actual entity benefiting from a Web site be clearly identified. For example, ZZZ Web site is identified as being maintained by the ZZZ store.
